- 1.5 kg chicken wings
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup cornstarch or all-purpose flour
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Optional: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, fresh parsley
Instructions
- Pat wings dry and season with salt and pepper. Toss in cornstarch or flour until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry wings in batches for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- In a saucepan, sauté garlic in a little oil until fragrant. Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and water. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Toss the fried wings in the sauce until evenly coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions or parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, double-fry the wings.
- Bake or air-fry for a lighter version.
- Use gluten-free soy sauce and cornstarch for a gluten-free option.
- Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
