Description

Golden, crispy fried calamari rings make the perfect appetizer with a light, crunchy coating and tender squid in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb calamari rings

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Oil for frying

 

  • Fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  • Soak calamari rings in buttermilk for 30 minutes.

  • In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  • Dredge calamari in flour mix, shake off excess.

  • Deep-fry at 375°F until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes.

 

  • Drain and garnish with parsley. Serve ho
