Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 large chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • In three separate bowls, prepare the breading station:
    • Bowl 1: Flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
    • Bowl 2: Beaten eggs.
    • Bowl 3: Panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  • Dip each chicken strip into the flour mixture, then into the egg wash, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the chicken tenders in batches, about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double coat the tenders by repeating the egg and breadcrumb step.
  • Use an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for a healthier version, cooking for 10-12 minutes.
  • Great with honey mustard, ranch, or barbecue sauce.
