Description
Crispy Beef and Cheese Stuffed Wraps are savory, golden-brown tortilla wraps filled with seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and optional veggies, then pan-fried to perfection for a crunchy, satisfying bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 6 large flour tortillas
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers or jalapeños
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil, for frying
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Stir in shredded cheeses and optional veggies if using.
- Lay out the flour tortillas. Spoon beef and cheese mixture into the center of each tortilla. Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a wrap.
- Heat a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter or oil. Place wraps seam side down and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from heat and let rest for a minute before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can make these ahead and freeze them before frying for a quick meal later.
- Try adding a spoonful of sour cream or guacamole inside for extra flavor.
- Switch up the cheeses or use ground turkey for a lighter version.
