Ingredients
Scale
- 8–12 bacon strips (regular or thick-cut)
- Optional: freshly cracked black pepper
- Optional: 1 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup
- Optional: pinch of chili flakes or smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F). Lay bacon strips in a single layer in the basket or on the tray—do not overlap.
- Air-fry for 6–8 minutes (regular-cut) or 8–10 minutes (thick-cut), until edges begin to crisp.
- Flip each strip using tongs. Cook an additional 4–6 minutes (regular) or 6–8 minutes (thick) until desired crispness.
- Optional: Brush with maple syrup or sprinkle brown sugar and chili flakes during last 2 minutes for a glaze.
- Remove bacon and place on paper towels to drain excess fat. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd—cook in batches if needed for even crisping.
- Adjust cooking times based on cut and preferred crispness.
- Use parchment liner for easier cleanup.
- Save rendered bacon fat for cooking other dishes.
- Reheat leftovers in air fryer at 200°C (400°F) for 2 minutes for re-crisping.
