			- 1 1/2 cups dried red beans
 - 1 onion, chopped
 - 1 bell pepper, diced
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
 - 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
 - 1 tsp thyme
 - 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
 - 1 cup cooked rice
 - Fresh parsley for garnish
 
Instructions
- Soak beans overnight, then drain.
 - Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
 - Add beans, spices, and broth. Simmer for 2 hours.
 - Mash some beans for a thicker consistency.
 - Serve over rice and garnish with parsley.
 
Notes
- Add smoked sausage or ham for extra flavor.
 - Use canned beans for a quicker version.
