Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley)
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Deglaze pan with chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, and zest. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over it. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through.
  6. Stir in fresh herbs and butter (if using). Serve warm with desired sides.
