- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or mixed herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, basil, thyme, and oregano. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
