Units
Scale
- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and sear until golden and crispy, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken thighs to the skillet, skin-side up. Spoon sauce over the chicken.
- Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra richness, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
- Boneless thighs or chicken breasts can be substituted but may require shorter cooking time.
