- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan until melted and the sauce thickens.
- Add lemon juice and parsley, then return shrimp to the skillet.
- Toss shrimp in the creamy sauce and cook for 1 more minute.
- Serve warm over pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
Notes
- Do not overcook the shrimp; they become rubbery quickly.
- Add red pepper flakes for heat.
- Swap heavy cream for half-and-half for a lighter version.
