Description

Creamy Classic Coleslaw is a timeless side dish made with shredded cabbage and carrots tossed in a smooth, tangy dressing. Perfect for picnics, barbecues, or as a crunchy topping for sandwiches.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrots.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, sugar, celery seed (if using), salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture.
  4. Toss until evenly coated.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt in place of some or all of the mayo.
