Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 5–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and slice into strips.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat and add butter. Sauté garlic for about 1 minute.
- Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook, stirring until sauce thickens.
- Return pasta and chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with sauce.
- Season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve hot with garlic bread or salad on the side.
Notes
- Add broccoli, spinach, or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
- Use penne or linguine as alternatives to fettuccine.
- Replace cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Swap chicken with shrimp or scallops for a seafood Alfredo.
- Add herbs like thyme or Italian seasoning for enhanced flavor.
- Reheat gently with added milk or cream to prevent sauce separation.
