Description

Indulge in this rich and creamy beef and bowtie pasta recipe, featuring tender beef chunks in a savory, velvety sauce with perfectly cooked farfalle pasta. A comforting and satisfying meal that’s easy to make for a weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb beef stew meat (cubed)
  • 2 cups bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta: Boil bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Sear the beef: In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef cubes and sear until browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Sauté aromatics: In the same skillet, add onions and garlic. Sauté until soft and fragrant.
  • Prepare the sauce: Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and return the beef to the pan. Cover and let it cook for 15-20 minutes until the beef is tender.
  • Make it creamy: Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix well and let it simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Combine & serve: Toss in the cooked bowtie pasta and mix everything together. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm!

Notes

  • You can use ground beef instead of stew meat for a quicker version.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and texture.
  • Adjust the thickness of the sauce with more broth or cream if needed.
