- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Store with a slice of bread to maintain softness.
- Chilling the dough helps reduce spreading and enhances flavor.
- Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized cookies.
- Do not overbake—cookies will continue to set while cooling.
