			- 1 lb ground beef
 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
 - 1 green bell pepper, diced
 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
 - 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
 - 1 tbsp brown sugar
 - 1 tsp mustard
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 - 8 slices bread (preferably sturdy white or sourdough)
 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, sliced or shredded
 - Butter for spreading

Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
 - Add chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until vegetables soften.
 - Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
 - Meanwhile, butter one side of each bread slice. Place buttered side down on a separate skillet or griddle over medium heat.
 - Top the unbuttered side with a generous layer of shredded or sliced cheddar cheese. Allow the cheese to melt slightly.
 - Spoon a portion of the Sloppy Joe mixture over the cheese-topped bread slices, then add another slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up, to create a sandwich.
 - Grill each sandwich until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese inside is fully melted. Flip carefully to brown both sides evenly.
 - Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then serve immediately.

Notes
- For a spicier version, add hot sauce or chopped jalapeƱos to the beef mixture.
 - Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
 - Try different cheeses like mozzarella or pepper jack for varied flavor.
 - Add sliced pickles or coleslaw inside the sandwich for extra crunch and tang.
 - Store leftovers wrapped tightly in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat in skillet or oven.
 - Use sturdy bread like sourdough or thick white bread to prevent sogginess.
