Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2–3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Chill the dough for thicker cookies with less spread.
