Description

This cinnamon swirl cream cheese loaf is a soft, moist cake with a sweet cinnamon filling and a creamy cheesecake-like layer. A perfect treat for breakfast or dessert!

For the Cake:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix in vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour half the batter into the loaf pan, spread cream cheese mixture over it, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Top with remaining batter and swirl with a knife.
  • Bake for 50-55 minutes. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Add chopped nuts for extra texture.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
