Description

This no-knead artisan bread is crusty on the outside, soft and airy inside, and requires minimal effort. Perfect for sandwiches, soups, or just enjoying with butter!


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast.
  • Add warm water and stir until combined. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 12-18 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a Dutch oven inside to heat for 30 minutes.
  • Transfer dough onto a floured surface, shape into a ball, and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Place dough in the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and bake for another 15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add herbs or cheese to the dough.
  • Store at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Works well with whole wheat flour for a heartier texture.
