Units Scale

hocolate Cake Layer:

  • 1 chocolate cake (store-bought or homemade), cut into cubes

Peanut Butter Mousse:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream, whipped

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup chopped chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries

Instructions

  • Prepare the peanut butter mousse: Beat cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Gently fold in whipped heavy cream. Set aside.
  • Make the chocolate ganache: Heat heavy cream until warm (not boiling) and pour over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
  • Assemble the trifle: In a trifle dish, layer half of the chocolate cake cubes, then half of the peanut butter mousse. Drizzle with chocolate ganache.
  • Repeat layers: Add another layer of chocolate cake, peanut butter mousse, and ganache.
  • Top & chill: Sprinkle with chocolate chunks, raspberries, and peanut butter cups. Chill for 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Use brownies instead of cake for a fudgier texture.
  • Drizzle extra peanut butter for more flavor.
  • Can be made in individual glasses for single servings.
