- 1 chocolate cake (store-bought or homemade), cut into cubes
Peanut Butter Mousse:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup peanut butter (creamy)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream, whipped
Chocolate Ganache:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Toppings:
- 1/2 cup chopped chocolate chunks
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/4 cup peanut butter cups, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the peanut butter mousse: Beat cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Gently fold in whipped heavy cream. Set aside.
- Make the chocolate ganache: Heat heavy cream until warm (not boiling) and pour over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
- Assemble the trifle: In a trifle dish, layer half of the chocolate cake cubes, then half of the peanut butter mousse. Drizzle with chocolate ganache.
- Repeat layers: Add another layer of chocolate cake, peanut butter mousse, and ganache.
- Top & chill: Sprinkle with chocolate chunks, raspberries, and peanut butter cups. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
