Scale
- 24 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Assorted candies (peanut butter cups, M&M’s, chocolate pieces, etc.) for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Mix with melted butter until combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a tart pan. Bake for 8–10 minutes, then let cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the peanut butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the peanut butter filling evenly into the cooled crust and chill for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat the heavy cream until just simmering. Pour over the chocolate chips and let sit for 1–2 minutes. Stir until smooth to make the ganache.
- Pour the ganache over the chilled peanut butter layer and smooth the top.
- Top with assorted candies before the ganache sets. Chill the tart until firm, about 1–2 hours.
- Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use any combination of your favorite candies for the topping.
- The tart can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge.
- For a clean slice, dip a knife in hot water and wipe between cuts.
