Description

These Chocolate Cookies are soft, chewy, and packed with rich chocolate flavor. Perfect for satisfying a sweet tooth or sharing with friends and family, they’re a classic treat with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are set but centers still look soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
  • Add a pinch of espresso powder to enhance chocolate flavor.
