- 1–2 tbsp heavy cream (optional, for smoother caramel)
- 1 bag (12 oz) milk or dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecan halves
- Flaky sea salt (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Assemble the Base:
- Lay mini pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Melt the Caramel:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the caramel candies with 1-2 tablespoons of heavy cream (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth and melted.
- Add the Caramel:
- Using a spoon, drop a dollop of melted caramel onto each pretzel, covering the center.
- Top with Pecans:
- Place a pecan half on top of each caramel-covered pretzel, gently pressing it down so it sticks.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- In another microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely melted and smooth.
- Drizzle the Chocolate:
- Spoon or drizzle melted chocolate over the caramel and pecans, fully or partially covering the top.
- Cool and Set:
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired. Let the treats sit at room temperature or refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
- Serve or Store:
- Transfer the treats to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
