Description

A flavorful chicken shawarma wrap served with crispy fries and a creamy sauce.


Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

For the Wrap:

  • 2 large pita or tortilla wraps
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup red cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1/4 cup tomato, diced
  • 2 tbsp garlic sauce or tahini sauce

For the Fries:

  • 2 medium potatoes, cut into fries
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Mix all chicken seasoning ingredients and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Grill or pan-fry chicken until fully cooked and slightly charred. Slice into strips.
  • Toss fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  • Assemble the wrap by placing lettuce, cabbage, cucumber, and tomato on the pita.
  • Add the cooked chicken and drizzle with garlic sauce. Wrap tightly.
  • Serve with fries and an extra side of sauce.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken with lamb or beef.
  • Add pickles for an authentic Middle Eastern taste.
  • Serve with hummus or tzatziki for extra flavor.
