- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry Jello
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers or baked pastry sheets
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whipped cream or Cool Whip
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- Dissolve strawberry Jello in 1 cup of boiling water, then stir in cold water. Let it cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter and press into the bottom of a baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped cream.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust evenly.
- Layer sliced strawberries over the cream cheese layer.
- Pour the slightly thickened Jello over the strawberries and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Top with remaining whipped cream before serving.
Notes
- You can use pastry sheets instead of graham crackers for a flaky texture.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar for an elegant finish.
