Description

Cheesy Smash Burger Sliders are mini smashed beef patties with crispy edges, melted cheese, and classic toppings served on soft slider buns.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 slices American cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 12 pickle slices
  • 2 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a griddle or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 12 equal balls and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Butter and toast the slider buns until golden; set aside.
  4. Place a beef ball on the hot surface, top with a pinch of diced onions, and smash flat using a spatula or burger press.
  5. Cook for 1–2 minutes until edges are crispy, then flip.
  6. Add a slice of cheese to each patty and cook until melted.
  7. Assemble sliders by spreading mayo and mustard (if using) on buns, adding patties, and topping with pickles.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Keep the beef cold for easier smashing and crispier edges.
  • Do not overcrowd the skillet — cook in batches for best browning.
  • Cover patties briefly after adding cheese for extra melt.
