Description
Cheesy Smash Burger Sliders are mini smashed beef patties with crispy edges, melted cheese, and classic toppings served on soft slider buns.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 12 slider buns
- 12 slices American cheese
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 12 pickle slices
- 2 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat a griddle or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into 12 equal balls and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Butter and toast the slider buns until golden; set aside.
- Place a beef ball on the hot surface, top with a pinch of diced onions, and smash flat using a spatula or burger press.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes until edges are crispy, then flip.
- Add a slice of cheese to each patty and cook until melted.
- Assemble sliders by spreading mayo and mustard (if using) on buns, adding patties, and topping with pickles.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Keep the beef cold for easier smashing and crispier edges.
- Do not overcrowd the skillet — cook in batches for best browning.
- Cover patties briefly after adding cheese for extra melt.
