Instructions
-
Preheat Oven:
- Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Prepare the Bread:
- Place the loaf on a cutting board and make diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart, without slicing all the way through.
- Turn the loaf and make cuts in the opposite direction, creating a crisscross pattern.
-
Make the Garlic Butter:
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
-
Stuff the Bread:
- Use a spoon or brush to drizzle the garlic butter into the cuts of the bread.
- Stuff the shredded mozzarella and cheddar into the gaps, making sure it’s evenly distributed.
Notes
- Use a mix of cheeses like Gouda or provolone for extra flavor.
- Add cooked bacon bits or jalapeños for a fun twist.
- Best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
