Description

Soft slider buns filled with savory garlic butter, melted cheese, and optional savory fillings—perfect for parties, snacks, or appetizers.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1216 slider buns (Hawaiian or dinner rolls)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
  • Optional: deli ham, turkey, cooked bacon, or caramelized onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C) and line a baking dish or tray.
  2. Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping them connected in rows.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in garlic and parsley until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
  4. Brush the garlic-butter mixture on both the top and bottom halves of the buns.
  5. Place the bottom halves in the baking dish. Layer shredded cheese evenly, then add any optional fillings.
  6. Cover with top bun halves and brush with the remaining garlic butter.
  7. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
  8. Serve warm, pulling sliders apart to enjoy.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt and texture.
  • To avoid soggy bottoms, bake on a rack-lined tray for heat circulation.
  • Mix in Parmesan, Italian seasoning, or chili flakes to the garlic butter for extra flavor.
  • These can be assembled ahead and stored in the fridge before baking.
  • Pair with dipping sauces like marinara, ranch, or garlic aioli.
