Scale
- 12–16 slider buns (Hawaiian or dinner rolls)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
- Optional: deli ham, turkey, cooked bacon, or caramelized onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C) and line a baking dish or tray.
- Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping them connected in rows.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in garlic and parsley until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
- Brush the garlic-butter mixture on both the top and bottom halves of the buns.
- Place the bottom halves in the baking dish. Layer shredded cheese evenly, then add any optional fillings.
- Cover with top bun halves and brush with the remaining garlic butter.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
- Serve warm, pulling sliders apart to enjoy.
Notes
- Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt and texture.
- To avoid soggy bottoms, bake on a rack-lined tray for heat circulation.
- Mix in Parmesan, Italian seasoning, or chili flakes to the garlic butter for extra flavor.
- These can be assembled ahead and stored in the fridge before baking.
- Pair with dipping sauces like marinara, ranch, or garlic aioli.
