Description

This Cheesy Garlic Bread is irresistibly crispy, buttery, and loaded with gooey melted cheese. Perfect as a side dish or appetizer, it’s an easy and quick recipe that pairs beautifully with soups, pastas, and salads.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 large baguette or Italian bread, sliced lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups (150g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    • In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well combined.
  3. Assemble the Bread:
    • Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
    • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the top.
  4. Bake the Garlic Bread:
    • Place the bread halves on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    • For a golden, crispy top, broil the bread for an additional 1–2 minutes (watch closely to prevent burning).
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and garnish with extra parsley. Slice into pieces and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add other cheeses like cheddar or provolone for a blend of flavors.
  • Use pre-roasted garlic for a milder garlic flavor.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes.
