- 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
- Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the cooked chicken and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Top with a single layer of frozen tater tots.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese on top, and return to oven for another 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired. Serve hot.
