- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 cup fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend)
- Optional: coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Combine warm water and yeast in a bowl. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Mix in flour, salt, and olive oil until a shaggy dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth. Lightly oil and cover.
- Let dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 220 °C (425 °F). Transfer dough to an oiled baking pan and stretch gently.
- Press fingertips into dough to create dimples. Drizzle with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with bacon, chives, cheese, and optional sea salt.
- Let rise 15 minutes. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven, drizzle with more olive oil, and cool slightly before slicing.
