Description

These cheesesteak sliders are the perfect bite-sized version of the classic Philly cheesesteak! Made with tender, juicy beef, caramelized onions, and melted cheese on soft, buttery rolls, these sliders are ideal for game days, parties, or a delicious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls work great)
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for topping)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for topping)
  • 1 tsp parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the steak – Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced ribeye, season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, and cook until browned. Remove from skillet.
  • Sauté onions – In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  • Assemble the sliders – Slice the buns in half. Spread a thin layer of mayo (if using) on the bottom buns. Layer the cooked steak, caramelized onions, and cheese slices evenly.
  • Top and bake – Place the top buns over the filling. Brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then uncover and bake for 5 more minutes until golden brown.
  • Garnish & Serve – Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm

Notes

  • Swap provolone for mozzarella or cheddar for a different twist.
  • Use slider buns like Hawaiian rolls for extra softness and sweetness.
  • Add bell peppers for a more traditional Philly cheesesteak taste.
