- 2 large onions, sliced into thick rings
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into strips
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Place a cheese strip inside two onion rings to create a sandwich.
- Coat each stuffed ring in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat for extra crispiness.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry rings until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- Double-coating makes them extra crispy.
- Serve with marinara or ranch dip.
