- 1 baguette or Italian loaf
- 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and place both halves on a baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and herbs until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over the cut side of each bread half.
- Top evenly with shredded mozzarella and sprinkle Parmesan on top if using.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until cheese is melted and bread is warmed through.
- Broil for 1–2 minutes to crisp the top, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven, slice into pieces, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm.
