Description

A smooth and creamy buttercream perfect for decorating cupcakes and cakes.


Ingredients

For Vanilla Buttercream:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • Pinch of salt

For Chocolate Buttercream:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Make Vanilla Buttercream: Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, cream, and salt. Mix until smooth and fluffy.
  • Make Chocolate Buttercream: Follow the same process, adding cocoa powder with the powdered sugar.
  • Pipe & Decorate: Use immediately for cupcakes or store in the fridge for later use.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
  • For extra fluffiness, whip for an extra 2 minutes.
