- 4 oz (1/2 block) cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp milk
- Powdered sugar for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into rectangles or squares.
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry piece.
- Top with a few blackberries.
- Fold or crimp the edges of the pastry slightly.
- Whisk together egg and milk, then brush over the pastry for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
