Description

: This homemade blackberry chia jam is a healthy, naturally sweetened spread made with fresh blackberries, chia seeds, and honey. Perfect for toast, yogurt, or baking!


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Cook berries: In a saucepan, cook blackberries over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes. Mash with a fork.
  • Add chia seeds & sweetener: Stir in honey and chia seeds. Simmer for 5 more minutes.
  • Let set: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Let cool and thicken for 30 minutes.
  • Store & serve: Transfer to a jar and refrigerate for up to a week.

Notes

  • Use any berries for a variation.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste.
