For the Beef & Marinade:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

For the Stir-Fry:

  • 8 oz wide noodles (lo mein, rice noodles, or fettuccine)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/2 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

For the Stir-Fry Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp honey (or brown sugar)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  • Marinate the Beef:
    • In a bowl, mix sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, black pepper, and sesame oil. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Prepare the Noodles:
    • Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook the Beef:
    • Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
    • Add marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Stir-Fry the Veggies:
    • In the same pan, add carrots, broccoli, and bell peppers. Cook for 2 minutes.
    • Add garlic, ginger, and green onions, stir-frying for another minute.
  • Combine Everything:
    • Return the beef to the pan.
    • Pour in the stir-fry sauce and mix well.
    • Add cooked noodles and toss everything together for 2 minutes.
  • Garnish & Serve:
    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and extra green onions. Serve hot!
