For the Beef & Marinade:
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
For the Stir-Fry:
- 8 oz wide noodles (lo mein, rice noodles, or fettuccine)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1/2 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
For the Stir-Fry Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp honey (or brown sugar)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef:
- In a bowl, mix sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, black pepper, and sesame oil. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Prepare the Noodles:
- Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Beef:
- Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Stir-Fry the Veggies:
- In the same pan, add carrots, broccoli, and bell peppers. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add garlic, ginger, and green onions, stir-frying for another minute.
- Combine Everything:
- Return the beef to the pan.
- Pour in the stir-fry sauce and mix well.
- Add cooked noodles and toss everything together for 2 minutes.
- Garnish & Serve:
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and extra green onions. Serve hot!
