Baked Garlic Herb Shrimp is a quick and flavorful seafood dish featuring tender shrimp tossed in a buttery garlic and herb mixture, then baked to perfection — ideal as an appetizer or a light main course.

- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with foil.
- In a bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add shrimp to the bowl and toss until well coated with the garlic herb mixture.
- Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- Do not overbake shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture.
- Great served over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
- Can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
