Description

Avocado Apple Bread is a moist, naturally sweetened quick bread made with creamy avocado and juicy apples. It’s a healthier twist on traditional fruit breads, packed with nutrients and perfect for breakfast or snacking.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed (about 1/2 cup)
  • 2 apples, peeled and grated (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup plant-based or regular milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix mashed avocado, brown sugar, maple syrup, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Stir in grated apples.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing just until combined. Fold in nuts if using.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • Use sweet apples like Fuji or Gala for best flavor.
  • Can be made dairy-free with plant-based milk.
  • Store at room temperature for 2–3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
  • Freezes well—wrap tightly and store for up to 3 months.
