- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup water chestnuts, diced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 head butter lettuce
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until soft.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground chicken and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add water chestnuts and green onions, mixing well.
- Spoon the mixture into lettuce leaves and serve warm.

- Swap ground chicken with ground turkey or tofu for a variation.
- Add a dash of sriracha for extra heat.
