- 2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan generously with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using).
- Cut each biscuit into quarters. Toss biscuit pieces and diced apples in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter with brown sugar until combined.
- Layer half of the biscuit-apple mixture in the bundt pan, drizzle with half of the butter-brown sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining biscuits and butter mixture.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then carefully invert onto a serving plate.
- In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze. Drizzle over the warm monkey bread before serving.
Notes
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a nice flavor balance.
- Best served warm, but can be reheated in the microwave or oven.
- For extra indulgence, add chopped pecans or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
- Store leftovers tightly covered at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
