For the Bread:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
For the Apple Filling:
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Prepare Apple Mixture: Toss diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Make the Batter: Beat butter and sugar, add eggs, milk, vanilla, then mix in flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Assemble: Pour half the batter into the pan, add half the apple mixture, repeat. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake: Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Add Glaze: Drizzle over cooled bread and enjoy!
Notes
- Use honeycrisp or granny smith apples for the best flavor.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
