- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for garnish)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook Potatoes: In a large pot, boil potatoes in broth until tender.
- Make Roux: In another pan, melt butter, add onions and garlic, cook until soft. Stir in flour to form a paste.
- Combine: Slowly add cream, sour cream, thyme, salt, and pepper, stirring constantly.
- Blend: Mash half the potatoes for a creamier texture, then mix everything together.
- Add Cheese: Stir in shredded cheese until melted.
- Garnish & Serve: Top with extra cheese and parsley. Serve warm.
